While you can find electric skateboards for prices as low as $100 online, these boards are mere toys that are definitely not suitable for someone who is looking to actually get from A to B, whether it's work or leisure travel. In addition, these boards are a serious safety hazard and might be dangerous to ride. Make sure to only buy an eskate from a reputable company with a track record and a big rider community. This will also make sure that you get warranty and replacement parts.
Bottom line: electric skateboards will not get cheaper without sacrificing quality or performance. Our boards are made for performance, safety, and fun - we won't compromise to save a little. However, we did develop our Campus 2 board in mind as a budget or cheaper electric skateboard. It's not lower quality than our other boards - it's less powerful with less range, but is not a "cheaper" board. We like to call it a value board because for a board under $300 you really do get a lot.
